Die Grippe lässt mich langsam wieder los und somit kommen jetzt (nach und nach) die fehlenden Posts aus Mailand und Berlin. Beginnen möchte ich mit der Show von Z Zegna, die im „Museo della Permanente“ stattfand. Ich war rechtzeitig vor Ort, denn ich durfte zusätzlich den Backstagebereich besuchen. Nachdem es einen Tag vorher (zum Hangout) dort noch recht ruhig zu ging, wuselten nun einige Personen mehr umher, doch Paul Surridge war die Ruhe in Person.
Zur Kollektion an sich: „Klarheit und Ordnung in dem schnelllebigen Wirbelsturm der Modelwelt von heute“, das ist die Botschaft der Herbst-/Winterkollektion 2013-2014 von Z Zegna.
Mann trennt nicht mehr zwischen Arbeit und Freizeit. Auf dem Laufsteg gab es moderne Kleidung zu sehen, die traditionelle Elemente mit innovativen Konstruktionen und Fertigungstechniken verbindet. So sorgen z.B. thermo-geschweißte und -geklebte Nähte und weitere Details für eine neue Dreidimensionalität (das fiel übrigens bereits auf der schicken Einladung auf).
Farbtechnisch bleibt es bei gedeckten Farben wie braun und aschgrau. Dazu gab es aber Akzente in Eisvogelblau und Kadmiumrot, passend zu Marineblau. Die exklusiven Stoffe, die Z Zegna verarbeitet, sind in dieser Saison eher grob und robust und statt Mänteln (mit Ausnahme des Regenmantels) trugen die Models Drei-Knopf-Blazer mit passenden Zigarettenhosen.

As I’m finally getting past the flu I can now write the missing blog posts of my time in Milan and Berlin. I’d like to start with the show of Z Zegna, which took place in the ‚Museo della Permanente‘ in Milan. I was there early enough and had the chance for a look backstage. Compared to the day before (during the Hangout) there was much more bustle and action, but Paul Surridge seemed to be calmness itself.
Contemporary clothes for a dynamic and urban lifestyle were shown on the runway, heritage elements bond with innovative constructions and fabrications like heat sealed garments, heat taped details, the search for three dimensions (which could already be found on the chic invitation).
The color palette ranged from shades of brown – from tobacco to sienna – ash gray and ebony, plus flashes of kingfisher or cadmium red matched with navy. And the exclusive fabrics are rough and tough in this upcoming season.
All in all, a pragmatic and functional message that channels a sense of clarity and order in today’s fast-fashion maelstrom, this is the message of Z Zegna.
