Brioni Spring/Summer 2015 - Milan Fashion Week

(For a short English version please scroll down)

Wenn Ihr also mal in Mailand seid, schaut dort ruhig einmal vorbei.

English:

Before I’ll tell you more about my trip to the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin I have another post from Milan, which I don’t want to hold back. Brioni, one of the most prestigious Italian menswear labels, presented its spring/summer 2015 collection during Milano Moda Uomo as well. Creative Director Brendan Mullane has been inspired by old photos of Hollywood icons such as Richard Burton, Henri Fonda and Cary Grant, snapped during Brioni fittings. This led to the theme of the collection: a retro imagery of Los Angeles. Cashmere/silk suits, tissue-thin silk shirts and zipped blousons together with fitted knitted polo shirts and Bermuda shorts – mixed-and-matched – make up a cool retro look. The color palette includes summerly ocean and light blue, turquoise or mint greens; floral patterns are also part of the collection as traditional Prince-of- Wales checks, houndstooth plaids and herringbone weaves. Fresh and elegant, can’t wait for next summer! If you want to have a closer look at the actual collection, you can do this now in the new Brioni Store in Via Gesù, which has been opened on the first day of Milan’s Fashion week. A beautiful place to shop, if you are around, have a look!
